Schalke 04 trembles against VfB Stuttgart for their 3rd win of the season

What a duel in the fight for relegation. Schalke 04 won the home game of the 22nd round in the German Bundesliga against VfB Stuttgart by a narrow margin of 2:1.

The “Miners” started strong and ended their goalless run of four games in a row after just ten minutes. Drexler is there after a Matriciani cross and gives Schalke the lead.

Five minutes before the half-time whistle, the Reis-Elf follows up. After a fine pass from Zalazar, Bülter converted the heel beautifully to make it 2-0 (40th).

Stuttgart after the break as if replaced

The Gelsenkirchen lead is absolutely fine after the first half. In the second half, Stuttgart shows a completely different face and acts much better.

This will be rewarded in minute 63. Sosa shoots from 20 meters, Schalke keeper Fährmann lets the harmless ball slip through his legs and brings the Swabians back into play, only 1:2.

After that, Stuttgart pushes more and more, but Fährmann more than makes up for his mistake thanks to several Glaz parades.

The Labbadia team still has several good opportunities, but cannot use any of them. For Schalke it is the first complete success since the beginning of November.

This reduces S04 the gap to the saving bank to three points, this marks opponents Stuttgart, which occupies the last non-relegation place.
