Samuel García signs document for new stadium; wants nfl

samuel garciagovernor of Nuevo León, announced that he has already signed the document that has authorized the start of construction of what will be the new stadium for the Tigres.

This new stadium is expected to be ready by 2025 and it is sought, among other things, not only to host soccer games, but also to have games of the NFL.

“The letter is ready here in which the land of the University of Nuevo Leon is given on loan for the stadium of tigers, which requires ratification by the State Congress. At this moment we already have it ready, it was going to be presented on Thursday, but I lacked the endorsements of the treasurer and Javier,” the governor said in a video.

Samuel García explained that he will be in the Super Bowl LVII and that he will have the opportunity to talk about the project and the possibility of having the NFL in the city of New Leon.

“It is part of this new agreement so that once this stadium has exceeded 65,000 seats, we can bring NFL games, one or two per year and then the agreement is already Tigres, Sinergia Deportiva, we are involved State Government, University of New León with NFL, IMG Endeavor, to be a stadium for Tigres, of Women’s TigersNFL games, multimodal games and world-class concerts that will be coming to the University stadium,” said the governor of Nuevo León.
