A substantially perfect Liofilchem Roseto prevails 47-86 on the Diesel Tecnica Sala Consilina field, seizing the clearest victory of the season: two points that allow the white-blues to keep the distance unchanged from Ruvo (-4) and LUISS Roma (-2 ), increasing the gap on fifth place to +4.
Coach Quaglia makes his return horse Aleksa Nikolic debut in the quintet together with Di Emidio, Santiangeli, Morici and Amoroso, while Paternoster (without Gaye) responds with Giunta, Erkmaa, Klacar, Divac and Misolic. The usual club area and the good initial mood of Klacar keep the match alive in the first minutes, despite the usual flying start of Santiangeli (already in double figures in the first fraction) and the dear old understanding between Amoroso and Nikolic: in the 7th minute 14-14, but Roseto closes the partial in crescendo up to 16-22 set by the usual Santiangeli.
The break extends also at the opening of the second quarter: Diesel Tecnica doesn’t score anymore, and Roseto strikes on the counterattack with the excellent impact of the second quintet. There is a lot of Dincic, Fiusco and Seck in the 10-0 with which the biancazzurri open the second period, fleeing to +19 with a triple from Morici. The gap remained in abundant double figures even in the following minutes, and it was once again Santiangeli who closed the period in the best possible way with five points which made it 31-51.
Despite the important advantage, Roseto comes out with a knife between his teeth from the locker room, especially in his half of the pitch: the Campania players will be held to just 16 total points in the second half, in which Liofilchem gradually increases its advantage and can afford to hold on for a long time bench many of its most important elements.
The biancazzurri also reach +41, closing a game dominated with great personality at 47-86. Certainly the best way to show up for the big match against the leaders Ruvo scheduled for next Sunday at the PalaMaggetti: it will be played at 19:00, and a great contribution from the Rosetan public will be needed.
