The Montpellier coach and his staff were laid off by the club’s management following poor results in the league.
Romain Pitau’s adventure in Montpellier only lasted three months. Maintained by Laurent Nicollin after the dismissal of Oliver Dall’oglio last October, he only had two wins in 12 games on the Montpellier bench (two draws and eight defeats).
These poor results have led the MHSC to 15th place in Ligue 1, which is only two points ahead of Strasbourg, the first relegation. The MHSC announced that the president of the club, Laurent Nicollin, will hold a press conference this Wednesday at 3 p.m.
