Next September (September 4 to 10), padel will once again be king for a week at Roland-Garros, which will host the Greenwez Paris Premier Padel Major for the second year in a row, now one of the the most anticipated by the best players in the world.

The padel will once again take up residence at Roland-Garros. For the second year in a row, the famous Porte d’Auteuil stadium will host the Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major, the equivalent for the tennis calendar of one of the four Grand Slam tournaments (this Greenweez Paris Pemier Padel Major is classified in the Majors category). The event, scheduled as part of the Premier Padel, circuit organized by the president of PSG Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, will take place in early September, from September 4 to 10. The two best players in the world, Ale Galan and Juan Lebron, both Spaniards, should on this occasion put into play their trophy won last year in Paris at the central Roland-Garros in front of nearly 5,000 spectators in the former – football superstar Zinédine Zidane, who would not have missed this first edition of this meeting called to become regular for anything in the world. The attendance card (25,000 people had discovered padel over the full week) has indeed made the organizers want to do it again every year. For the second year, it is in any case already certain. On Friday, the eight rounds of the Premier Padel season were unveiled, and Paris is part of it again. Arnaud Di Pasquale, responsible for the discipline within the French Tennis Federation, is delighted in the columns of Parisian.

“An engraved moment”, for Lebron

“With these new dates at the beginning of September, we want to make this great padel meeting one of the key events of the start of the school year by allowing as many people as possible to come and admire a quality sporting spectacle while taking advantage of the last fine days and long summer evenings in the superb setting of the Roland-Garros Stadium”, appreciates the former tennis player, still marked by the success of the first edition. “All the best players in the world had competed on the Philippe-Chatrier court, we are delighted to continue our partnership with Premier Padel and to confirm the second edition of the Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major which is establishing itself as one of the major events international padel.” A feeling shared by one of the two defending champions Juan Lebron, also questioned by our colleagues from Parisian and who probably experienced one of his finest moments since the start of his career last year. “It’s an engraved moment. Winning Roland-Garros in such a symbolic place, it really represents something really special.”
