Panthers sign Ejiro Evero to be Defensive Coordinator

Ejiro Evero had interviewed for the Panthers’ head coaching job, for which Frank Reich was eventually hired.

Los Carolina Panthers have reached an agreement with Used Evero to make him the team’s defensive coordinator on the new head coach’s staff Frank Reich.

Ejiro Evero, 42, was the defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos Last season. The team and the new coach Sean Payton they agreed to release him from his contract so he could look for other jobs.

Used Evero interviewed for the head coaching position of the Panthers, for which Reich was eventually hired. He had also interviewed for head coaching jobs with the Arizona Cardinals and the Indianapolis Colts.

Despite injuries to the entire squad, the Broncos they finished in the top 10 in the league in total defense and run defense. During a stretch in the second half of the season, the Broncos had the highest scoring defense in the NFLbut fell outside the top 10 after a 51-14 loss to Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day, the day before the head coach Nathaniel Hackett was fired.
