NFL: running back Joe Mixon allegedly threatened someone with a gun

A warrant has been issued for Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon.

According to what is reported, the latter would have threatened an individual with a firearm. The incident reportedly occurred on January 21 in Cincinnati.

The organization said it was aware of the situation, but did not share further comments.

This isn’t the first time Mixon has had a run-in with the law. In 2014, he was charged with assault for hitting a woman. He was then with the University of Oklahoma.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the charges would be dropped as early as Friday.

Mixon signed a four-year contract worth $48 million in 2020.

In 14 games last season, Mixon rushed for 814 yards and had seven rushing touchdowns and two more on receptions.

The Bengals were eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs in the American Conference Finals.
