NFL: Dallas Cowboys Name Brian Schottenheimer as Offensive Coordinator

The Dallas Cowboys have named Brian Schottenheimer as offensive coordinator.

The Cowboys and Kellen Moore parted ways last week. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones then announced that head coach Mike McCarthy would now call the games next season.

“I’m very happy to see Brian take on this key role,” said McCarthy. “He was already an important part of our staff and he knows the direction we want to take. »

“The Cowboys had initially hired Schottenheimer, 49, as a consultant before the campaign.

In 2021, he served as a coordinator with the Jacksonville Jaguars under Urban Meyer, after working with the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets.

Brian is the son of former NHL coach Marty Schottenheimer.
