NBA: Player Quake! Dallas Mavaricks get absolute superstar | Sports

This exchange comes out of nowhere!

There really isn’t a day in the NBA that goes by without drama. Now Kyrie Irving (30) is the focus again. The basketball superstar leaves the Brooklyn Nets and is traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

A real hammer trade!

As NBA insider Shams Charania reports, the Mavericks are giving up a first-round pick (2029) and several second-round picks (2027 and 2029) for Irving Spencer Dinwiddie (29), Dorian Finney-Smith (29).

According to various US media reports, Irving only wanted to leave Brooklyn a few days ago. The Nets didn’t want to give him a long-term contract, his current working paper would have expired after the current season.

After negotiations between Irivng and Nets collapsed, he called for the trade. His wish is now granted. In recent days there has also been speculation about Irving moving to the Los Angeles Lakers.

With the California team, he could have played with mega-star LeBron James (38) again. As a duo, the two won the NBA title with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

In Dallas he now meets another superstar! The Mavericks, with whom Dirk Nowitzki (44) won the title in 2011, are led by basketball genius Luka Doncic (23).

The Slovenian has reportedly been unhappy with the Mavericks’ weak squad lately. Doncic was asked for advice by his club, he gave the green light for the Irving commitment.

Still, Dallas is taking a big risk with the Irving trade. No other NBA player polarizes like the point guard. Speculations about the flat earth, confused statements about the corona vaccination or just not in the mood for a game – everything is possible with Irving.

The Mavericks and Doncic probably don’t care for the time being…
