NBA. Player heavily fined for shoving referee. Sport

Washington guard Bradley Beal was fined $25,000 on Monday by the NBA for having knocked down a referee on an empty seat in the first row, Saturday during the victory (127-113) against Indiana.

No excuses

After unsuccessfully trying to recover a long pass, Beal first rammed the match official with his chin. And, in an immediate reflex, pushed him away with his right hand, causing him to fall, without apologizing afterwards.

The three-time All-Star Wizards player is currently averaging 22.5 points, 5.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds.

The 29-year-old Beal has led his team to the playoffs five times over the past nine seasons, but never made it past the Eastern Conference semifinals.
