NBA: Could Fred VanVleet move to the Nets before the trade deadline? (Raptors)

The Brooklyn Nets could add a third team to the mega trade sending Kyrie Irving to Dallas, and that roster could well be the Toronto Raptors.

According to reporter Marc Stein, the Nets have discussed the possibility of trading Spencer Dinwiddie, obtained from the Mavericks as part of this trade, and it may well end up with the Raptors.

Stein says Toronto would be willing to let point guard Fred VanVleet go in return for Dinwiddie and a draft pick.

Adding to the information obtained by Stein, Adrian Wojnarowski, of the network ESPNspecifies that the senior management of the Raptors is currently holding discussions with many NBA clubs.

In addition, the transaction sending Irving to the Mavericks was formalized on Monday. The latter should make his debut with his new team on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

“Thank you Nets fans for the love on and off the field,” Irving tweeted Monday. I will always be grateful to have lived a young boy’s dream with you. Me and my family will always love you. »

The deadline for trades in the Silver Circuit is Thursday at 3 p.m.
