NBA: Bron James Celebrates, Lakers Lose Again – Basketball

(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 10 – Los Angeles has once again paid tribute to LeBron James, who was celebrated at the Crypto.com Arena for becoming the top scorer ever in the NBA, surpassing the 38,387 points scored in his career by Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, a record that stood since 1989. As already two days ago when the record fell, iKareem was on the sidelines and LeBron took the field but only in an elegant suit, accompanied by his wife and children, without taking part in the match with the Milwaukee Bucks, lost 106-115 by the Lakers.

The protagonist of the game was thus Giannis Antetokounmpo, author of 38 points who led the Bucks to victory, the ninth in a row, which keeps them in the wake of the Boston Celtics, the leading team in the Eastern Conference. The Lakers in the third consecutive knockout remain stuck in 13th position in the West, far from the play-offs. In the other games of the night, the leaders of the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets, were beaten in Orlando (115-104) by the Magic, among which Paolo Banchero shone, author of a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks defeated the Phoenix Suns (116-107) at home and Brooklyn also took advantage of the home court factor – which just sold its aces, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant – beating the Chicago Bulls 116-105.
