The Simón Bolívar Monumental Stadium was the great attraction of the fair, the first in history with eight participants. And the fan support was massive, as it had more than 231,572 visitors to the Caribbean baseball classic.
For nine days, from the mountains of La Rinconada to the coastal strip of La Guaira, Venezuela lived Caribbean baseball intensely.
The Greater Caracas 2023 Caribbean Series was the perfect showcase to exhibit all the benefits of Venezuela: its landscapes, its climate, its food, its music and its people.
On the opening day alone, 35,691 fans attended, the highest attendance recorded in a Caribbean Series game at the current stage.
“We have broken the record of the two stages by far… it will be very difficult for it to be broken again in this new stage,” said commissioner Juan Francisco Puello Herrera, in a statement reviewed by the website of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).
In the other six matches of Venezuela at the Monumental, four in the first round, one in the semifinal and one in the final, the support of the fans was also forceful.
