Melilla, represented in the ‘XVII City of Villena Trophy’ – MelillaHoy

As is tradition, the Archery Championship ‘XVII Ciudad de Villena Trophy, indoor mode’ was recently held.. In this contest, held in Alicante, national category archers met with a maximum participation of 112 archers, among whom a representation of our city attended, competing in the modalities of Traditional Bow, Compound Bow, Naked Bow and Recurve Bow.

After the end of the event the following classifications were obtained: Traditional Bow, twelfth position; Compound Bow, tenth place; Naked Arch, eighth square; and Recurve Bow, third place.
Melilla goalkeeper Karim El-Haji Hartiti reached the podium with third position in Recurve Bow, confirming the high level of this athlete.

The Melilla delegation wanted to thank the CAM Sports Department for its “support” and they hope that this Olympic sport will achieve “more presence in our city”.
