Lionel Messi made a milestone when he helped Paris Saint-Germain beat Marseille in Ligue 1. His one goal made him score 700 goals at club level.
MU beat Marseille 3-0 at the Stade Velodrome, Monday (27/2/2023) in the morning WIB. Messi scored one goal and two other goals were bought up by Kylian Mbappe.
For Messi, one goal was enough to lead him to incise milestone. The Argentinian scored his 700th goal at club level.
In detail, Lionel Messi made 672 goals at Barcelona, and 28 goals at Paris Saint-Germain. Messi did it in 840 games.
Messi is now overshadowing Ronaldo’s record, which so far has 709 goals. Messi has done it quicker too, as it took Ronaldo 943 games to score his 700th goal in his appearances at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and now Al Nassr.
In total this season, Messi has made 17 goals and 16 assists for PSG in all competitions. His consistent performance has given him the opportunity to overtake Cristiano Ronaldo’s score, especially since there are still many matches this season.
