Without giving up, Limoges CSP was no match for Malaga (67-84) on Tuesday at Beaublanc for the second day of the second round of the Champions League (BCL).
Totally dominated last Tuesday on the Galatasaray floor, Limoges CSP held up better this time against Malaga at Beaublanc this Tuesday evening for their second match in the second round of the Champions League (BCL). But Massimo Cancellieri’s side were still far from being able to compete, losing 84-67.
The Andalusians made the gap shortly before the break, with a 15-5 in their favor, to return to the locker room with an 11-point lead (34-45). Very present on the passing lines, the visitors feasted on the counter-attack (20 points on stray Limoges balls). The 2022 French champion Dylan Osetkowski signed his best game in the competition with 19 points at 6/8 on shots and 7 rebounds in less than 19 minutes. But it was the entire Spanish team that dominated on both sides of the field to take a lead of up to 21 points.
Limoges, which was able to count on good Jayvon Graves et Nicolas Lang (17 points), will need more players on a good night at the same time to compete with the armadas in his group. This Tuesday evening, Javontae Hawkins notably missed out (1/13 on shots). The next European meeting will take place in Athens next Tuesday against AEK. But before that, the Cercle Saint-Pierre will go to Bourg-en-Bresse to play there this Saturday.
