Lazio hooked on Verona by Hellas

After its misstep in the Championship against Fiorentina (1-1) and its elimination in the quarter-finals of the Italian Cup against Juventus (0-1), Lazio failed to revive. The Roman club was hung on the lawn of Hellas Verona (1-1) on Monday. However, thanks to Pedro, with a pivot shot (45th), Maurizio Sarri’s players had taken the advantage. But they were joined at the start of the second half on a goal from Belgian Cyril Ngonge, following a free kick (51st).

The Laziali could have won in extremis if Mattia Zaccagni had not seen his backheel stopped by the opposing goalkeeper just in front of his line in added time (90 + 6). As a result, with this result, Lazio must leave third place to AS Roma, their great rival, who are now ahead of them by one point. At the bottom of the standings, Hellas Verona remains 18th and first relegated in Serie A.
