“Lekrings” defeats “Lielvārdi/Fat Pipe” and finishes in 2nd place
The team “Lekrings” won the 2nd place in the regular tournament of the ELVI floorball league for men, which tonight in the Cēsi sports complex with 10:2 defeated “Lielvārdi/Fat Pipe”. Edgars Puriņš was the most productive among the players from Česi with 5 (4+1) points.
“Lielvārde/Fat Pipe” visited the team “Lekrings” in Cēsis, which they lost 3:9 at home. The result of the return match was revealed in the 18th minute, when Kaspars Lisovskis scored accurately (1:0), but Edgars Puriņš made it 2:0 before the break. During the second period, the home team took a 4-0 lead, but in the 50th minute the score had already become 9-0. In the remaining time, Oskars Tūtans scored two goals for the visitors, but Cēsis “Lekrings” celebrated a convincing victory with 10:2.
The award for the best player among the winners was presented to Jānis Rajeckis, who scored 4 (1+3) points. Only Edgars Puriņš was more productive than him, who collected 5 (4+1) points. 4 (2+2) points for Kris Treimanis. Oskars Tūtanas, the author of both goals, was recognized as the best among the Lielvardi players. “Lekrings” from Cēsis won 2nd place with 47 points, while “Lielvārde/Fat Pipe” took 7th place with 26 points.
