Javier Tebas already warned that the Barça team He will have to reduce his salary mass by about 200 million euros for the next season.

Atlético, Sevilla y Villarreal complete the top5 (see table). The rojiblanco team is the one that has lost the most limit, going from 341 million to 315 million. The result of this operation is the Sports Squad Cost Limit, which the club can spend on its squad.

The clubs do not have to consume the salary limit in its entirety. That’s the number they can spend on their squad at most, but they can spend less.

What does the LCPD include?

The sports squad cost limit includes spending on players, head coach, assistant coach and physical trainer of the first team (what is called a registrable squad) and also spending on subsidiaries, youth academy and other sections (non-registrable squad).

The concepts that are included in the cost limit of the registrable and non-registrable sports squad are: fixed and variable salaries, social security, collective bonuses, acquisition expenses (including commissions for agents) and amortizations (purchase amount of the players charged annually depending on the number of years of the player’s contract). The clubs do not have to consume the limit in its entirety.
