Bittersweet Sunday in Pitiuso football on matchday number 20 of the season in Segunda RFEF. CD Ibiza and SD Formentera have drawn in the matches against Badalona Futur (1-1) and Manresa (1-1), respectively, held this morning.
On the other hand, the Peña Deportiva de Santa Eulària has added the three points by beating Terrassa FC 1-0, for which it rises to second position in the standings, tying on points (39) with the first and third teams: Valencia -Mestalla and CD Teruel.
The goal was the work of center forward Manuel Expósito Salinas in the 64th minute.
The rojillo club, for its part, manages to rise to 13th position with 22 points in total and thus leaves the relegation zone and is placed in the promotion place. It was in the fifth minute of the match -played at 12 o’clock in Can Misses 3- when the scoring opened with a goal from striker Andreu Guiu, from the visiting team.
Half an hour into the game, the tie was reached thanks to a goal by Jaime Barrero. In a play without apparent danger, the number 17 has dropped the ball on the front and has scored a cross shot to the right of the goalkeeper of the Catalan team.
Míchel Alonso’s men also finished the match against Manresa in a draw and dropped to eighth position with 29 points, just one below their rival this Sunday. The goal for the Formenteras came in the 52nd minute with midfielder Nando Quesada, just four minutes after the Catalan team’s goal, so the islanders knew how to react quickly, even though they weren’t able to get all three points in the end.
