The Las Vegas Aces, reigning WNBA champions, announced on Monday evening that they had separated from Iliana Rupert (1.94 m, 21 years old), the French international interior. Selected 12th in the 2021 draft, Rupert joined the Nevada franchise last season. She had played 17 regular season games (with averages per game of 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds) and seven play-offs (2.1 pts and 0.4 rebounds).
After starting his pro career in Bourges – and winning the French Championship and the Eurocup in 2022 – Rupert has been playing, alongside the WNBA, since this season at Virtus Bologna, in Italy. With the France team, she was twice a Euro finalist (2019 and 2021) and bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics two years ago.
