Graham Potter’s Decisive Battle?

Jakarta

Chelsea will face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League this weekend. This match is believed to determine fate Graham Potter.

Chelsea are on a bad run with Potter. The Blues have only won twice in their last 15 matches in all competitions and only scored six goals.

Most recently, Chelsea was defeated by the bottom team of the Premier League, Southampton, with a score of 0-1. The calls for Potter to be fired grew stronger.

Chelsea, who have not won in their last four matches in the Premier League, are now further away from the Champions League zone. They are in 10th place in the Premier League standings with 31 points, 11 points away from the top four.

This situation reportedly prompted Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali to hold an emergency meeting with Graham Potter. According to the Evening Standard report, Boehly and Eghbali still support Potter’s plan.

In the midst of this bad run, Chelsea will face a test from Tottenham in the Premier League. Chelsea will travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday (26/2/2023) evening WIB.

Former Premier League star Paul Merson thinks Potter needs to be given time. However, with such great pressure, especially after spending the jor-rod that has been done, Potter is said to face a decisive match against Tottenham.

“He (Potter) just got beaten at home by bottom team and he’s still there, so maybe they’ll back him,” Paul Merson told Sky Sports.

“Sunday is Chelsea’s biggest game of the season, it’s Tottenham. If he loses I’m not sure there will be a way back because the fans will be very angry.”

“But this game could change everything. If Chelsea beat Spurs he could be a hero too. People think Potter is not the right man for the job but I think he is. I think give him time,” he said.
