[코리아투데이뉴스] Table tennis and badminton courts were opened in Gochang-gun Sports Town (90-1 Wolam-ri).
According to Gochang-gun on the 6th, on the afternoon of the 4th, a grand opening ceremony was held for the ‘table tennis and badminton court’ with about 100 people attending, including Gochang-gun mayor Sim Deok-seop, Gochang-gun council Lim Jeong-ho, heads of organizations and societies, and residents.
Table tennis and badminton courts are located in 90-1 Woram-ri, Gochang-eup (within Sports Town).
Construction began in July 2020, and a total of 7 billion won (government 30, military 40) was invested, and a table tennis and badminton court, shower rooms, and offices were built on a total floor area of about 2363㎡.
The county believes that the establishment of a dedicated stadium here will solve the long-awaited project of local residents, and contribute to vitalizing sports for life as the colorful sports facilities are opened, as well as helping to attract various events and competitions.
Shim Deok-seop, Mayor of Gochang-gun, said, “The opening of table tennis and badminton courts is expected to inject vitality into the development of the sports industry.
On the other hand, Gochang-gun plans to resolve the blind spots in sports welfare through continuous facility investment such as the ‘life-friendly (disabled) National Sports Center’ and various sports facilities expansion.
