Frenchman Alexis Pinturault crowned combined world champion

The Frenchman won the title of combined world champion in alpine skiing on Tuesday in Courchevel, three years after his first world title in the discipline.

Le Frenchman Alexis Pinturault was crowned world champion in the combined at home on Tuesday in Courchevel, in the resort where he partly grew up and three years after his first world title in the discipline.

The Frenchman edged out Marco Schwartz by nothing (+0″10) to return to victory. Alexis Pinturault obtained his sixth planetary individual medal, his second in gold in this discipline after that gleaned in Are (Sweden) in 2019, and ideally launched the world fortnight of the France team.
