BAARN In the weekend of 3-5 February, the National Championships badminton (seniors) took place in the Topsportcentum Almere.
As an 8-year-old girl, Nadia Choukri already spent many hours in racket center De Geeren, where she regularly competed against seniors. Her father always played on Friday evenings and Nadia continued to play after her training. Together with her teammates Sofieke Heil, Chris van Ommen and Tom van Eijk (photo) she achieved a podium place (second place under 11 years old) at the National Championships for teams for the first time in the history of BC Inside ’82. Eleven years later, at the age of 19, she can call herself the best in the Netherlands.
Previously, Arno de Jong (doubles under 19 years old, 1995) and Guusje de Vries (singles and doubles under 13 years old, 2014) managed to win prizes on behalf of BC Inside ’82 at a Dutch National Championship.
