For the Carnival corsos, they advance the schedule of Tigre vs River on Saturday for the date 4 of the Professional League

This was announced this Monday, after approval by Aprevide, regarding security. Also, the start of Newell’s vs Banfield was changed.

The celebration of Carnival in the Argentine Republic has recovered space in recent years and, a few hours ago, also caused the schedule change of one of the most important matches that the fourth date of the Professional League will have. It is that, after the approval of AFA and the security organisms, Tigre will receive River next Saturday but from 18:00and not at 9:30 p.m. as planned.

This was determined in a meeting in which the mayor of San Fernando, Juan Andreotti, representatives of the AFA and the head of Aprevide, Eduardo Aparicio, who modified the schedule to be able to “guarantee the normal development of carnivals in the district” where the José Dellagiovanna stadium, home of the ‘Matador’, is located.

“The national holiday of Carnival is sacred. It is an expression of popular culture as important as a soccer game. That is why we managed to agree and find a time for the game to be played without affecting the carnival celebrations in the Municipality of Saint Ferdinand”maintained Aparicio.

As a consequence of this change, the match between Newell’s y Banfield (it was scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on the same day) it happens at 9:00 p.m.
