“Illustrious circle of the undisciplined” – Hamann criticizes Bayern stars

FC Bayern has been making headlines off the field for weeks. Before the game against Union Berlin there is new trouble about Leroy Sané. Former national player Dietmar Hamann fundamentally questions the discipline of the Bayern stars.
WBayern does not really come to rest. Manuel Neuer’s serious skiing accident, the fuss about Serge Gnabry’s trip to Paris for Fashion Week, the discussions about the separation from goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic, in which Neuer again took part with a sensational interview. In addition, Julian Nagelsmann’s freak out in the direction of the referee team after the 2: 3 in Mönchengladbach (“This soft-washed pack”).
And now – before the trend-setting top game against third-placed Union Berlin (Sun. 5.30 p.m. / DAZN) – there is also trouble about Leroy Sané. According to a report by BILD, the midfield star missed the departure of the team bus before the game in Gladbach and drove to the airport in a private car.
They are disruptive fires that are actually enough for three seasons. At Bayern, they appear bundled in a season that was already complicated in terms of sport in just over two months. Reason enough for Dietmar Hamann to smack the record champions in his latest Sky column. For the TV expert, one thing is certain: “Bayern have a discipline problem.” The criticism is primarily aimed at the behavior of the stars mentioned, including coach Nagelsmann, whom he describes as an “illustrious circle of the undisciplined”.
Hamann demands penalties from the club
Hamann makes the club responsible for “penalizing players who are often guilty of something.” Otherwise, the former German national player sees the team spirit at Bayern endangered in the long term. “Because footballers quickly realize when they can do whatever they want in the end and get away with it. And the exemplary professionals take notice of that,” explains Hamann.
Despite all the criticism, Hamann does not believe in Munich’s problems for the top game against Union. “It’s a very good time to meet the surprise of the year,” he writes, referring to the tiredness after the exhausting round of 16 in the Europa League on Thursday evening. Already in the 0-0 draw against Schalke last Sunday, the Köpenickers hadn’t made a fresh impression about 72 hours after the first leg at Ajax Amsterdam.
