F1 test in Bahrain: Leclerc, sensations are good – F1

(ANSA) – ROME, FEBRUARY 24 – The first “good sensations” that the SF-23 transmitted to Charles Leclerc, yesterday afternoon at the wheel of the Ferrari in the tests that F1 is carrying out in Bahrain. This morning it’s Carlos Sainz’s turn again, who currently has the best time.

“The car seems better than last year – Leclerc explained to SkySport – but it’s too early to know where we are compared to the others”, a question that will only be resolved at the end of the first race of the season, next Sunday.

Leclerc said he was satisfied with the work done on the first day, despite the fact that the first eight and a half hours of testing showed a performance still far from that of the Red Bulls.

“In the end they are tests, there is always a compromise. I knew about the programme. There are no problems,” reassured the Ferrari driver.

“We made the correlation with the data that emerged in Maranello during the development phase and what happens on the track and all the data is in line with what we expected. It was the most important part, which is done first of all. It was a positive day” he concluded. (HANDLE).
