The First Archery Company of Saint-Germain-du-Puy held its general meeting, Saint-Germain-du-Puy. Brilliant archers for a dynamic club. Friday evening, at the Simone-Signoret room, under the chairmanship of Marc Tassin.
The president made a retrospective of the competitions of the past year, specifying that the club was represented in all the competitions of the department, and in a good part in the Center-Val de Loire region.
Coach training
The club has forty members, including eleven women. “Some youngsters are promising, we will see in the future. I will do everything to encourage them on this path and do my best to support them”, noted Marc Tassin who mentioned that the creation of two groups had been positive, freeing up more time for young people.
“We are always looking for volunteers to do coaching training”. This training is offered by the club.
Congratulations were addressed to the competitors of the various championships, for having obtained very good results.
With a stable financial situation presented by the treasurer of the club, Thierry Fassier, it is envisaged the purchase of a bow which will be loaned to young people in order to encourage them to practice this discipline.
Then, with the agreement of the municipality, a target will be created at the Jacques-Prévert gymnasium. The Elvin company provides the materials and for the sake of savings, Pierre Morin, employee of the company and archer, will carry out the work with a few volunteers.
This year, at the forum of associations, it is planned to carry out a demonstration. This remains to be done with the municipality for security.
Samuel Caton, deputy mayor, in charge of sports affairs, and François Coudret, representing the Cher departmental shooting committee, congratulated the club on its good results.
