El Hadji Diouf 9th, Sadio Mané? West Africa’s top 20 players of all time

West Africa is a great football region that has always had top quality players. Sadio Mané, big star of Senegal and Bayern Munich, perfectly illustrates this legion of stars that the west of the African continent produces. He follows in the footsteps of George Weah, the only African to win the Ballon d’Or so far.

According to AfriqueSport, the Liberian George Weah occupies the first place in the ranking of the 20 best players in West Africa. Twenty years after his retirement, the current president of Liberia is considered West Africa’s greatest player and one of the greatest, if not the greatest, in all of African history. He is followed by another legend, now retired: Didier Drogba.
