Former Hungarian international Miklos Lendvai has died. He was 47 years old, his former club Sporting de Charleroi announced on Monday evening. He played 96 matches in Belgian Division 1 and scored one goal.
He played there between 2001 and 2004 before joining Cyprus and AEL Limassol. A Hungarian international (23 caps between 1996 and 2004), he began his career in Belgium at Geel (1999-2000) then at Germinal Beerschot (2000-2001). He left his training club Zalaegerszeg in 1996 to evolve in Bordeaux, then in Lugano and Ferencvaros and finally arrive in Belgium.
