Chelsea’s missing ex-pro Christian Atsu found alive

FSoccer professional Christian Atsu has been rescued from the rubble after the devastating earthquake in the Turkish-Syrian border region. This was reported by Turkish media on Tuesday, citing the spokesman for his club Hatayspor. Accordingly, the 31-year-old Ghanaian was found injured. Atsu scored the winning goal to make it 1-0 in the league duel against Kasimpasa, who was also in danger of relegation, just before the end of last Sunday.

The Portuguese sports newspaper “A Bola” reported on Monday evening that Atsu had been found alive. However, there was no confirmation from his club, which continues to worry about his buried sports director Taner Savut. Atsu once played for FC Porto, becoming champions and Portuguese Super Cup winners with the club. Atsu also appeared for Chelsea FC, Everton FC, Newcastle United and Malaga FC.

German professional Jeremy Dudziak, who was only recently loaned out to Hatayspor by second-division club Spielvereinigung Greuther Fürth, is scheduled to return to Germany this Tuesday or Wednesday. This is what his advisor Kevin Reuter said on Tuesday to the German Press Agency. The 27-year-old Dudziak survived the disaster unharmed.

According to the latest information from Tuesday, the number of dead as a result of the severe earthquake in the Turkish-Syrian border area is now 5,000. More than 23,500 people were injured. However, many people are believed to be under the rubble.
