CFL: quarterback Trevor Harris would accept the Saskatchewan Roughriders offer

Trevor Harris would not return with the Montreal Alouettes.

According to what Farhan Lalji reported from TSNexpect the quarterback to accept the offer from the Saskatchewan Roughriders when the free agent market opens on February 14.

He adds that the agreement would be for two seasons.

The 36-year-old would make it to a fifth team in the Canadian Football League. He joined the Alouettes in 2021. Last season, he recorded 4,157 yards in 18 games. He threw 20 touchdowns against 12 interceptions.

The Alouettes lost to the Toronto Argonauts in the East Final.

Harris has worn the uniforms of the Argonauts, the Ottawa Redblacks, the Edmonton squad and the Alouettes. In 161 regular season games, he recorded 28,610 yards, 154 touchdowns and 71 interceptions.

Shiltz lives in Hamilton

Meanwhile, quarterback Matthew Shiltz is staying with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The 30-year-old signed a new deal with the Ticats on Monday ahead of the free agent opening.

Shiltz had a career-high 935 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in 17 games in the 2022 season, his first season with Hamilton.

Shiltz had spent the first four years of his career with the Montreal Alouettes from 2017 to 2021.
