Basketball – Braunschweig – MBC ends the negative series with victory in Braunschweig – Sport

Braunschweig (dpa) – The basketball players from Syntainics MBC have ended their negative series. The Weißenfels team won their Bundesliga game at the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig 89:73 (53:35) on Sunday and gained some breathing room in the fight to stay in the class. After the seventh win of the season, the lead over the first relegation zone is now four points. Kris Clyburn (18 points/10 rebounds), Kostja Mushidi (17), Martin Breunig (16) and Charles Callison (12) had the greatest share in the first success after three defeats in a row. Divine Myles (13), Braydon Hobbs (12) and Robin Amaize (9) scored the most points for Braunschweig.

The Central Germans offered an outstanding performance on the offensive in the first quarter after being 4:8 behind (3rd). With a 10:0 run, the guests took a 14:8 lead and already had 37 points after ten minutes. The team from Weißenfels extended their 37:24 lead to 68:45 by the 27th minute and thus ensured clear conditions. The key to success was the good hit rate from beyond the three-point line. Out of 25 attempts, eleven ended up in the Braunschweig basket.
