Badminton: the Brives-Charensac club well represented at the Brioude tournament

This weekend, in Brioude, 26 players from the Brives-Charensac badminton club had lined up 26 players.

Who said badminton was a beach sport? Certainly not the players of Brives-Charensac. In the biggest club in the department, which has nearly 120 members, many of them regularly come up against competition.

Since the start of the season, the club has been represented in nearly 21 competitions. This weekend, it was in Brioude that 26 club players walked the pitch. The confrontations are done by level and by type of game: single, double, mixed. The pleasure is optimal, the shuttlecocks fly, the ropes stretch, cries of joy or annoyance explode. In the end, the Brivois return with their share of rewards.

Anaïs Eyraud finished first in mixed series 1, Florian Masclaux also in men’s doubles series 2, as well as Géraldine Garcia in women’s doubles series 1. For Kevin Eyraud, it will be a very good second place in men’s doubles series 1.

Next weekend, the Brivois return to Brioude, this time as a team for the last round of the Interclubs. Currently the number one team in the department, the Brives-Charensac club is defending its title, which it already won last year.
