Badminton: 60 children at the first young Promobad of Velay

On Saturday, the Brives-Charensac badminton club organized its first youth tournament at the Chadrac gymnasium. Sixty competitors from chicks to juniors participated.

For this first edition, the organizing club hoped for thirty or even fifty children. It went way beyond that with 60 young badminton players at the young Promobad du Velay.

The badminton club of Brives-Charensac is in full expansion. It has nearly 120 licensees including a young school of nearly 50 children. This is why it was decided to dedicate a tournament to them, in addition to the traditional national tournament which brings together more than 200 badminton players on the weekend of May 20-21 at the Palais des Sports.

To accentuate the presentation, the club’s licensees have even devoted long hours of work to them by manufacturing an elegant podium, almost entirely from recycled pallets.

From 6 to 17 years old, the athletes competed in singles categories: 7 boys’ categories and 5 girls’ categories. We found the clubs of Brives, Langogne, Brioude, Langeac, Sainte-Sigolène, Emblavez.
