AVEZZANO – Last Sunday, February 5, at the “Cipolleto” Gym in Gubbio, the Judo competition “1st Judo Beginners A and B Trophy” was held, organized by the Gubbio Koddokan with the aegis of the Fijlkam Umbria Regional Committee and the Municipality of Gubbio.
The competition saw a very large participation with over 200 athletes from different regions of central Italy.
The Asd “Il Salice” participated with its star athlete, Edoardo Ceccarelli, who for his part defeated his opponents and went straight to the final in the category of Beginners A (12-year-old athletes in their first year of competition).
Unfortunately an accident, and then the subsequent medical intervention, forced him to stop in the final match, causing him to finish in 2nd place so as to win a very precious Silver medal.
All the managers and technicians of the Asd “Il Salice” were very satisfied who, given the result of the athlete, who will now observe a few days of convalescence to recover from the injury, taking into account the invitation received from Austria for the dispute “Austrian Cup”, they are considering bringing him back on the road, which was already done last year.
Meanwhile, we remind you that at the Dojo “I Cinque Elementi” in via dei Gladioli 12 in Avezzano, where there are the three Asds “Il Salice”, “CSR Ju Jitsu Italia” and “Ju Jitsu Winner Team De Clemente FM”, continue, in tight way, the workouts.
