Aston Villa prepares Jhon Jader Durán’s debut in the Premier League: he would be among those called up | Colombians Abroad

Before starting the South American U-20 with Colombia, John Jader Duran He was not clear about his future, but in the blink of an eye he had to leave the concentration of the team led by Héctor Cárdenas to be able to sign and put himself under the orders of the Aston Villa.

After Durán’s presentation at Aston Villa and the confirmation from his coach Unai Emery that he would not return to the South American U-20, the Colombian striker focused on catching up with his teammates to make his debut as soon as possible.

Apparently the wait is ending and Emery would be contemplating summoning him for the next Premier League match against Leicester City on February 4.

According to the English outlet ‘Birmingham Live’, Jhon Jader Durán will enter the squad for Aston Villa’s next game after having completed several work sessions with the team.

“Jhon Durán is ready to make his great debut at Villa Park from the bench against Leicester on Saturday. The Colombian, who hasn’t kicked an official competition ball since October, would have had two full weeks of training by the time kick-off arrives this weekend,” confirmed the aforementioned English outlet.

In the same way, through their social networks, Aston Villa sent a wink to Jhon Jader Durán after finishing training prior to the match against Leicester City and it could be the indication that Unai Emery includes him in the official list.

Jhon Jader Durán’s last official match occurred on October 9, 2022 with the Chicago Fire against the New England Revolution, a game in which the Colombian played 88 minutes and was unable to contribute to the scoreboard. In the end the match ended tied at one goal.
