At Antwerp they have been enjoying the input of Marc Overmars for almost a year now. The TD has already completed some nice transfers at Stamnummer 1.
The Dutchman was pushed aside at Ajax this summer for transgressive behavior. A disciplinary investigation was started, but Overmars reportedly initially did not want to cooperate.
Now reports the Dutch NOS that Overmars’ spokesperson has announced that they will nevertheless cooperate with the investigation of the Institute for Sports Justice. They would currently ‘wait quietly’ for the outcome of the investigation.
The ISR — which is leading the investigation — has the power to impose sanctions, the Dutch source reports. The Commission of Inquiry will meet again soon and then they will decide whether there are sufficient grounds to start a disciplinary case.
