Another Czech show in Boston. Krejčí scored, Zach equalized and Pastrňák started an avalanche

Forwards David Pastrňák and Pavel Zacha both scored a goal and an assist to help the Boston hockey players to a 3:2 overtime win over Dallas. The setup of the duel between the leading teams of both NHL conferences was ended by Pastrňák, the second best scorer of the competition after the event, which was started by Zacha. David Krejčí also scored an assist in the match.

Boston sent Taylor Hall into the lead in the 11th minute, who ended Hampus Lindholm’s individual action. The second assist on Hall’s goal was scored by Krejčí, who improved his season tally to 43 points. Dallas turned the score around in the first half of the match, but Zach equalized in the third period. The Czech forward got the puck after Pastrňák’s interplay with Brandon Carl and sent the match into overtime with a shot into the top corner of the goal.

In it, he and Pastrňák switched roles. After combining with Zacha and Charlie McAvoy, the Czech gunner got to the puck on the edge of the left circle for a throw-in and scored the 39th goal of the season. After a successful evening, Zacha reached the limit of 37 points and broke his personal record from last season.

“Great hockey was played by both sides. Both teams knew what to expect from each other, and the match looked like that. We made two mistakes that the opponent was able to take advantage of. But even in the unfavorable situation, we came back to the match and came up with win. To turn a game around against a team like Dallas is great for us,” said Pastrnak, who is the league’s fifth-leading scorer with 74 Canadian points.

New Jersey defeated Columbus 3:2 and won the fourth of the last five duels. The Devils decided against the NHL’s worst team two seconds before the end of normal playing time, when defenseman Ryan Graves made his mark after Palát’s assist. “When I went on the ice, I knew there were 25 seconds left. As time was ticking, I felt the end was coming, so I went in front of the goal. Normally I would have stayed at the blue line, but luckily I made up my mind and was I’m rewarded with a goal,” Graves said.

Ondřej Palát scored in the fourth game in a row and won the fourteenth point in the New Jersey jersey. Goalkeeper Vítek Vaněček made 31 saves in the Devils’ win and extended the streak to twelve games with a point gain. Only one goalkeeper in the club’s history managed to pick up at least a point in more consecutive games. He was the legendary Martin Brodeur, who even recorded a fourteen-game streak three times in his career.

Winnipeg goalkeeper David Rittich was also happy about the victory, as he made 27 saves to help the team win 3:2 after separate raids over Seattle. The Jihlava native improved his record to nine wins from 13 games, and thanks to his contribution, the Jets are in second place in the Western Conference with a two-point loss to the leader Dallas.

Rittich fulfills the role of a reliable number two behind Connor Hellebuyck, and after unsuccessful engagements in Toronto and Nashville, he repays the confidence of the coaches with quality performances. “David only found out about his start in the morning before the game and he confirmed his class again. In every game he starts, he makes a great catch. He is a great boy in the booth who is constantly working on himself and does exactly what we need him to do in the games ,” coach Rick Bowness praised the 30-year-old goalkeeper.

Aleksandar Georgiev started in Colorado’s goal against Tampa Bay. The Russian goalkeeper was given priority over Pavel Francouz and covered 32 shots in the replay of the last Stanley Cup final. Despite his performance, the reigning champions lost to the Lightning 3:4 after separate raids and lost a valuable point in the fight for promotion to the playoffs.

Petr Mrázek also remained only on the substitutes’ bench, whose Chicago lost to Montreal clearly 0:4. Jaxson Stauber started the fourth game in the NHL, but his 27 hits were not enough to win. Ottawa goalkeeper Kevin Mandolese had a successful debut among the overseas elite, as he stopped 46 New York Islanders shots and led the Senators to a 3-2 win after separate raids.

The Carolina hockey players also rejoiced at the 3:2 win. The Hurricanes won on the ice of Washington and won outside their arena for the fifth time in a row. Martin Nečas came out empty-handed for the second time in a row. Tomáš Hertl did not score either, whose San Jose lost to Pittsburgh 1:3.
