The reserves of Anderlecht have qualified for the Promotion Play-offs of the Challenger Pro League after a thriller in Deinze. Nilson Angulo made the redeeming 2-3 in Deinze in the final phase. Anderlecht jumps to place 6.
On the final day of the regular season in the Challenger Pro League it was a battle between Lierse, Lommel, RSCA Futures and Deinze for the last 2 tickets for the top 6 and the Promotion Play-offs.
Thanks to a great header goal from Schuermans, Deinze reached out for that ticket, but when Almenara received his second yellow card for a schwalbe, Deinze got into trouble.
The youngsters of Anderlecht took full advantage through substitute De Wilde and top scorer Stassin, with his 14th goal of the season. But even with a man less, Deinze could still make it difficult for Anderlecht: Schryvers headed the 2-2 on the board.
Anderlecht’s U21s were able to recharge for a final offensive and redemption came thanks to Ecuadorian Nilson Angulo, who returned to RSCA Futures after a few raids at Anderlecht. With a hard bang he kicked the RSCA Futures to the Promotion Play-offs.
