Ciccone, from Trek, was the winner of the second stage in Alto de los Pinos
Alex Aranburu (Movistar) got into the fight for the final victory yesterday in the Vuelta a la Comunitat Valenciana by arriving in the leading group in the first of the two uphill finishes of the race. In Alto de los Pinos, Giulio Ciccone (Trek) prevailed ahead of Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineos) and Pello Bilbao (Bahrain). The ezkiotarra was eighth in the same time and is fourth overall.
In ten seconds there is a luxury quintet, from which in theory the final winner will emerge: Ciccone, Geoghegan Hart, Bilbao, Aranburu and Vlasov (Bora).
Besseges is suspended
The second stage of the Star of Bessèges was suspended due to a hard fall when a large group was returning to the peloton after another accident.
