Aaron Rodgers self-isolates for four days to reflect

All means are good to come to an important decision, according to Aaron Rodgers. The enigmatic quarterback will spend four days in the dark to determine which direction he will take for the rest of his career.

While on the “Pat McAfee Show” podcast, the Green Bay Packers athlete admitted that before deciding if he wanted to continue his adventure in Wisconsin, he had to decide if he still had the sacred fire for the profession of footballer.

“That’s why I believe it will be important to go through this week and isolate myself to assess the factors related to my future,” said the 39-year-old man.

To do this, Rodgers will lock himself away for four full days, allowing him to experience hallucinations and “do some soul-searching to get closer to a final decision.”

This strategy is reminiscent of that of mixed martial arts fighter Jiri Prochazka. Last October, the former UFC light heavyweight champion revealed that he had spent three days in a room, deprived of light and food, in order to “confront his demons” at the dawn of his fight against Glover Teixera.

Still under contract with the Packers, Rodfers would play in 2023 on his 19th season in the NFL and a 16th as a starting pivot.

He also refuted the theory that he would put off hanging up his cleats to avoid being inducted into the Hall of Fame at the same time as another Goodell circuit legend.

“To think that I wouldn’t want to share the stage with Tom Brady and JJ Watt is ridiculous,” he said.
