A bet on beauty. Supermodel Adriana Lima is the new FIFA ambassador

Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima has become FIFA’s first global fan ambassador.

He will present himself in his new role for the first time tonight in Paris during the announcement of the best footballer of last year in The Best poll, where he will present the fans’ award.

FIFA reported on the collaboration with the 41-year-old star on its website.

“He lives football, so he can be a great link between FIFA and fans around the world,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

“When you meet Adriana, you immediately feel her warmth, her kindness and the passion she has for football,” said the head of world football.

“I come from a humble background and I am a big football fan. It is a great honor for me that FIFA has chosen me as the first global ambassador for fans, who will thus be able to get even closer to football,” said the famous model.

None of the nominees from Real Madrid will attend today’s announcement of the football awards. According to the Spanish media, behind-the-scenes reports of Lionel Messi’s Paris St. Germain in front of Karim Benzema and the coach of the Argentine world champions Lionel Scaloni in front of the “White Ballet” coach Carl Ancelotti.

Real, which dominated the Spanish top competition and the Champions League last year, is to be represented at the gala evening in Paris only by the director of the club, Emilio Butragueňo.

The Madrid team also has a busy schedule this week, with a cup match against Barcelona awaiting them on Thursday.

The media remind us that even the former Real Gunner Cristiano Ronaldo skipped the FIFA galas in the years when he had news that he would not win the player of the year award.
