The winter transfer window often benefits the big European teams to strengthen or correct certain weaknesses in the workforce. In recent weeks, we were expecting several movements on the side of the FC Barcelona, especially in central defense and in the right-back position. But just four days from the end of the transfer window, nothing has changed, almost. Only Memphis Depay has been transferred to Atlético de Madrid.
And at a press conference, Xavi confirmed that nothing will change by Tuesday evening when the transfer market closes. The Spanish technician is satisfied with the transfer window of his club. “The team is very well made. Apart from Bellerin, we don’t have a natural full-back but we have very good options in that position. We had six pure attackers and now there are five alternatives. Balde, Alba or Roberto can play as a full-back too. I’m happy, I don’t need more.”
