A drama occurred at the end of the January transfer market. Nicolo Zaniolo was finally willing to move to Bournemouth after rejecting it, but now The Cherries are no longer interested in bringing him to the Premier League.
Reported by Sky Sport Italia, Zaniolo finally wants to move to Bournemouth after being frozen by AS Roma. It is certain that he will no longer be included in Jose Mourinho’s squad until the end of the season because it is considered that his heart is no longer linked with the Giallorossi.
The problem is, Bournemouth has now closed its doors. They have already recruited another player, namely Hamed Traore from Sassuolo with a value of 30 million Euros. If Zaniolo is also bought, then their expenses will increase.
Signs of wanting to move had been wafting from Zaniolo since last summer, but he finally stayed. Then in January 2023, offers appeared from AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur, but the two clubs were reluctant to fulfill the fee proposed by Roma.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth offers an attractive package. 30 million Euros plus bonuses, plus 10 percent of future sales. Business-wise, it’s been good for Roma, but Zaniolo feels moving there is a career downturn.
He refused the offer, even reluctant to meet Bournemouth representatives who had come all the way to Rome. But it actually makes Rome hot. He no longer wants to play for the club, still rejecting the only concrete offer available.
Zaniolo was also offered by Leeds United, but the value submitted was lower. Roma have insisted that the 23-year-old player will not be released except for the equivalent price offered by Bournemouth.
The Tuscany-born player is currently tied to Roma until 2024, but given the circumstances, it looks likely he will be released next summer.
