The year 2023 starts very well for the Archers of Kéroual, in Guilers – Guilers



On January 21 and 22, 2023, Saint-Renan hosted the Finistère Team Archery Championship at 18 m, during which the Keroual Archers, in Guilers, distinguished themselves. “With nine podiums for nine teams represented, we finish first Finistère club in the medal standings,” rejoiced Jean-Pierre Lalouer, the president. The young people leave with the team victories in U11, U13-U15 and U18-U21 girls. In mixed doubles, the U18-U21 team wins the title, while the U13-U15 are narrowly defeated in the final. The Sunday scratch teams return with two titles and two second places. Victory for the women’s team and the recurve mixed doubles.

Record participation for the upcoming individual departmental

The recurve men’s team ranks second behind Saint-Renan and obtains a good second place for the mixed doubles compound behind Plourin-lès-Morlaix. After good qualifications in fourth place, the men’s team took out Quimperlé in the quarter-finals then the leader Logonna-Daoulas in the semi-finals and only lost in the play-off against Saint-Renan.

Next weekend, for the Individual Departmental Championship in Landerneau, 39 archers from Guilers are selected out of 200 archers present (record participation for the club).
