“The start was more than successful.” Euduka for the excellent performance in the “Tour de Ski”

“It is definitely a part of the result,” said the athlete, speaking about the team change. “You have to understand that I have trained a lot individually all summer, so what I manage to achieve now is thanks to the work I put in during the summer and all the previous years.”

The athlete herself admitted that at the moment it is difficult to predict when she will be able to return to a full-fledged training process, but expressed her hope that recovery after the tough competition will not take too long.

“It’s hard to say how long it will take,” said the skier. “Now I will definitely have a more relaxed regime for a couple of days. After that, depending on my feelings, I will see if I can gradually return to training. At the end of January, the next stages of the World Cup will start and they are definitely in my plan.”

The Latvian cross-country skier is still the overall leader of the World Cup U-23 age group, having accumulated 564 points, or 275 more than the vice-leader American Sofia Laukli. In the overall standings, Eiduka is in the high 13th position, but the leader with 1447 points is Tirila Udnes Veng.

Last year, both Raimo Vigants and Eiduka competed in this series, who once entered the top 30 in four stages, but a year earlier, Eiduka became the first skier from the Baltic States who participated in all stages of the tour.

The world championship this season is scheduled for the turn of February and March in the Slovenian city of Planačić.
