Every time a tournament is about to start, the expectations of the fans are high and, as all the teams start from scratch, it is valid to get excited.
Betplay-1 League 2023 will begin this Tuesday, January 24 with the presence of one of the teams from Antioquia. Envigado will visit Atlético Bucaramanga at the Alfonso López stadium from 8:00 p.m.
The orange club maintained the base of the previous tournament despite the departure of 12 players, a fact that has become common in this team, which is one of the largest suppliers of Colombian soccer players.
The coach Alberto Suárez aspires to improve last season, in which he started very well but ended up being left out of the eight.
“We are very excited about the work we have been doing, there is anxiety for the tournament to start, but also confidence in this group. We started with a difficult rival, but with the desire to reach the three points”, said the helmsman.
The same illusion is held by the other strategists of the other paisa teams: National, Medellin and Eagles.
The purslane technician, Paulo Autuori, it was played by a mixture of experienced men, especially in defense with the arrival of Christian Zapata y Sergio Mosqueraand with the new promises projected by the club such as Óscar Perea and Juan Pablo Torres, among others.
“I am very satisfied with the team, we believe in this project and we have a clear idea of what we want to do on the pitch”, said the Brazilian coach.
With good football, Nacional hopes to recover and seduce that part of the fans that believes that the team has not been well formed, above all, to face the Libertadores Cup.
For its part, Independiente Medellín, the current runner-up in Colombian soccer, was well armed to give David González the necessary tools, and thus fight for the League again and achieve the goal of qualifying for the Libertadores group stage.
González was clear: “We are putting together a project because we want to win the Copa Libertadores and the athletes were informed of that objective. That is why the players who are arriving are being given long-lasting contracts ”.
At the Mighty winger Edwuin Cetré and Andrés Ibargüen draw attention, as well as the possible involvement of Jackson Martínez and Giovanni Moreno, two Colombian soccer leaders who could wear that shirt. In the first case, Jackson trains to earn that chance and, in the second, the conditions are in place for Gio to return to elite soccer if he wishes, beyond the fact that he is a benchmark for Nacional.
Águilas bets on the project of coach Lucas González, who after leaving the technical direction of the Atlético Nacional sub-20 category, reached an agreement with the golden team to replace Leonel Álvarez, who left a high bar in the past tournament qualifying among the eight and with the possibility of reaching the final.
Lucas included in his project Alexis Henriquez, who will accompany him as a technical assistant. This duo generates expectation, because both coaches have been very well referenced. González for the youth players he has managed, who speak highly of him, and Henríquez for a reference in technical management such as Juan Carlos Osoriowho believes that the former green captain prepared himself for this opportunity.
Just as the teams from Antioquia were reinforced, so have those from the main cities of the country such as América, Cali, Santa Fe, Millonarios and Junior. The latter, along with DIM, looks like one of the contenders for the title. The shark team will be led by Juan Fernando Quintero, who, like Hugo Rodallega (Santa Fe), returned to Colombian soccer. Here we show you the ups and downs that the 20 teams had to assume this start of the League, all that remains is for the whistle to blow and the ball to roll.
