The teams, made up of groups of 5 to 7 players, only had to comply with the requirement to be over 30 years old. And once he started dribbling the ball, everything flowed. The desire to win was not lacking, but always from the perspective of experience that forces you to play more with your head than with your heart.

Every Thursday there is the possibility of playing 3 matches of 20 minutes between friendsand although they are also tired, they end each day having enjoyed having a reason to get together, laugh, chat and, incidentally, let themselves be carried away by the ups and downs of failures and successes and also victories, which exist even when the marker says otherwise.

The years went by and the success of the Master Senior League was increasing. The good atmosphere was catching more players whose payroll also included names like those of the current mayor Alberto Varelaamong many others.

A decade later there are already many generations that now come together every Thursday in the pavilion of the IES Lane. There they put on the MSL shirt to escape from routines and enjoy that sport does not understand age, but wills and attitudes. And so that nothing is missing, there are also cup competitions in knockout and play-off format in the final stretch of the season to determine the final classification.

One of the highlights of each season is the end of the party at the Galician Square. In the urban heart of Vilagarcía, around the month of June, a basketball court was set up with the collaboration of the Municipality of Vilagarcía, and the Master Senior League sports muscle for all to see.
